Where to get shift boot for 92 ranger
I have a 92 ranger 5speed manual and am in need of a shift boot. Anybody know where to get one besides the dealership?>

If you have a Mitsubishi 5 speed, the shift boot (E8TZ7277C) is obsolete.

how do i determine if i have the Mazda or Mitsubishi tranny?

Look on the Warranty Plate or Certification Label, on the left door jamb (B pillar) for the TRANS code. Post it here.

it had an M under trans code

The "M" codeindicates a Mazda transmission. Replacement shift boots are available through LMC Truck.

Since the boot is still available from Ford, where do you think lmc is buying them from?
Check what lmc sells for the boot for, with the prices I listed above in post #2..
