Another 6.0 convert

I will start things off by saying I loved my 6.0, but decided to get an 08 V-10. I just got the truck last night. I was surprised to notice quite a difference between my 05 and the 08. Ride and obviously much more quiet than the 6.0. I'm sure I will miss my diesel, but eager to bond with my V-10

Thumbs up V10 3v

Hope you enjoy your new '08! The V10 3v engine is a keeper that is for sure.

So...when you get a chance...post up some pics of the new beast. We would love to see them...

Nice. I plan on doing the same thing within the next year.

Made the switch myself on Saturday!! 2005 6.0 diesel-sucker (never regularly averaged more than 13.5mpg) turned into a 2008 6.8 gas sucker (1 tank so far, 12.3mpg hand calc'd, we'll see the average after about 5 tanks).

Very happy so far!!! Wife about crashed it when she lit 'em up coming out of the driveway, was used to the turbo lag!

The downside is my 06' 6.0 regularly averaged 16-17 mpg's (non towing). The upside is that I hardly ever pay for fuel thanks to a company fuel card so the V10 is a no brainer, i.e. cheaper.....(max towing is less then 9000lbs)

Welcome to the BSEG Club

I think once you get thru the break in period, you'll forget all about that 6.0
