Why do car salesman and people in general when selling a car write the moniker:
"only 5921 original miles"
"only 15k original miles"
"only 8367 original miles"
Why do they say 'original'. Like, they came from the factory with these miles on them. Like my truck has 59k original miles. Like, my '96 PSD has only 231k original miles....like all the rest of us are driving cars and trucks with non-original miles on them. STOP!
All miles are original dumbarse...like you brought it to the mileage line in heaven and got 'original' miles...
It goes back to the days when vehicles had the old style odometers that rolled over and back to zero at 100K miles. If you had 15K after the roll over than those weren't "original" miles.

Off topic, but dude, if that is who i think it is in your avatar, I don't think "paradise by the dashboard lights" is an appropriate tagline to be next to it.....................
Also in the olden days could roll back the odometer and set where ever you wanted, so it would have more miles and then be rolled back, to sell it easier. So the reason they say original, is like saying the odometer hasn't been tampered with.
