I am interested in the same thing. Hope you get some responses.
I was just out looking at my steering column and I'm real skeptical now. The shape of the column, the big hole that would have to be in the pod for the shifter, the pic of the pod makes it look like it sits real high, too many things making me shy away. I'd love to see some good pics of it installed there.
Is that the only pic you have? I was more curious about a view from the drivers point of view and maybe one from the side. I want to see what it looks like where that gaping hole from the shifter is.
I just tried to call you too! I guess I will try again.

Sorry about that we were eating lunch.
It's going to be kinda hard to give an exact driver point of view. For instance I am 5'2" and Jody is 6', but we both sit at the same level. I am long wasted. If you sit higher then me your view will be better for the dash panel. From the side I'll have to dig a picture up or go take another and that will be much later today or tomorrow before I wil be able to do that.
The steering wheel mount fits over the shifter perfectly.
go to autometer.com and serach on the pod mount. It will show you how it is mounted over the colume.

That pod looks GREAT actually.........but I'm not so sure it's practical? Changing your tune on the fly could get hairy because the steering wheel is in the way of being able to reach it easily. You'd have to do a "reach-around"
no harder to do then leaning forward while driving to reach it on the pillar. i have one for mine and love it, doesnt block anything, i am 6 foot even as far as height and actually lay my seat back alot when i drive, no problems at all with it.
That doesn't look bad, at least its out of the way from being hit or banged up. And it,s right there at your finger tips. Its not any different then those big tach gauges i had on my 70 nova street rod but smaller, not bad.
Keep in mind that Travis' picture is of a 2000 model dash. The 2002 model dash is slightly different, the factory trans and coolant temp are on the extreme right. I installed my steering column pod last week for my Aeroforce Scan Gauge and from the driver's point of view, it's right in the middle of the tach just like Diane's picture. It does not block any numbers of the tach or anything for that matter. Its a very good location for a gauge.
