Just some results of the past 4 mos , engine/trans rebuilt, built a cart to roll the cab in and out of the shop..so I can make a big mess outside instead of inside. Chassis is almost complete, so it gets dis-assembled/painted, by that time the cab should be in primer and ready to go back on...maybe a mad rush to get it together enough for some summer cruising.....Later
Mertz - the dolly for the cab - is that the one with the gray box on it? Is that part of it? I'm getting ready to make one, with 10" pneumatic wheels, and parts off a trailer mover, and whatever I have laying around. I need to get it outside, to sandblast the interior (the exterior is done, pretty much, by hand and aircraft stripper). If the metal box is part of it, is that to make it higher, or sturdier??
Rodger, Yeah! thr grey box is actually some 10" channel I had laying around from a previous project, added 4 -8" wheels..2 caster type ,that I picked up from Harbor Freight on sale, 2 by 6's laid flat and bolted together...took about 2 hours, quick an dirty, rolls real easy now, we'll see how it does with the cab on it...LoL!
Make's a nice tomato plant stand in the mean time..Good Luck!

If you think about it, keep us informed when you put the cab on it! The one I have rolls really easy, but it's very low, and seems to push the floor up quite a bit. Plus, it sits crooked. Since I'm going to make one, I want it to support it very well...
