Hello I have a 1995 f-150 with the 302 e4od tranny 4x4 Iam not sure what gearing ford put in these trucks from the factory, but i have put 35 inch tires on the truck and the factory gearing is way to tall now. Does anyone know how to figure what gears I should use to get me back on the right track is there a way to figure out what gears are in this truck and a online calculator or someway to figure it out. thanks for the help
Decent chart there to help you out. You also have a tag on the diff to tell you what "should" be inside, and the door jamb will have an axle code that will help you identify what came with it.
35" tires with a small engine and an overdrive trans will really, really like 4.56 gears.
