question about a plug.
i had the speedo out yesterday changing some bulbs and noticed a plug that wasnt plugged in. i looked around a bit and found the male end of the plug and hooked it back up. as soon as i did, it started the most god awful buzzing sound ive ever heard on a vehicle(to indicate the key was still in the ignition)..... once i take the key out or shut the door it stops. it wasnt the normal "ding ding ding" sound most cars have. but a constant buzzing. when i turn the key on, it makes an even more annoying sound in addition to the key buzzer. the "wait to start" buzzer. does this plug do anything other than make me want to shoot my truck?? will unhooking it shut off something important? my turbo coupe has a buzzer that sounds pretty much the same, but its there to indicate a problem with the turbo. i dont want to unhook anything that could alert me to a problem somewhere, but i cant take that buzzing anymore if its not necessary.
