Painted Bumpers??
I recently purchased an 05 F250 CC LWB 4x4 (FX4?) XLT, Rear parking assist, two-tone Dark Toreador Red + Silver lower sections. I've seen plenty of XLTs on the road, similarly equipped, that have chrome bumpers front and rear, but mine are painted silver.
Does this indicate aftermarket or non-original bumpers? Or, to ask another way, were painted bumpers come from the factory?

My 2005 F - 350 KR had CHROME bumpers.My 2008 F - 350 KR has painted bumpers.
To me, it seems the option packages change each year to complicate us when ordering and allowing for oredering mistakes from dealers. How can a top of the line, KR have a painted bumper with the normal, non warranty, self inflicted, ugly ROAD NICKS????

What do you do with your front bumper to eliminate the road nicks? I only have about six nicks so far, but I have less than 5,000 miles.
I am off again in a couple weeks for 2,000 miles. I saved up money for diesel and my Virginia attorney. He got me off so I don't have to go to jail. I might just run 75 north and miss VA!

I ordered the truck and when I picked it up I was pissed it had painted bumpers. The dealer told me all two tone trucks had painted to match bumpers. Mine already look like crap. At least he told me that I could order the chrome ones at their cost. I just haven't done it yet but I will soon.
