triton engine electrical issues, i think...

hi guys...new to the site...basically due to a problem with an e250 triton 5.4 with a horible miss...pri/sec circuit fault coil a,b,c,g and lean o2 bank 1 sensor 1... coil b was indeed bad, but i`m thinking the rest are fine...power at the coils, but they dont fire, so i`m thinking the ecm isnt throwing them a ground reference...any input from the ford guys???how bout a wiring diagram???any info would be appreciated...

02 e250 5.4 triton, 57800 miles...all coils have been replaced...called 1,2,3,7 pri/sec circuit failure on the scanner in addition to bank1sensor1 lean condition...its not lean at all...in fact, its pretty fat...i`m lookin for a wiring diagram now, but its lookin like a faulty puter...

Here ya go, if you’ll notice coils 1, 2, 3, 7 share a common connector, C134, which is a big square 42 pin one on the front of the engine, might be a place to start.

you dont happen to have a pinout map of the comp harness plug,do ya???c134,by your description is the large connector just to the right of the batt behind the air box...if this is the case, its a bolted together, weather tight connector...the chance of 4 individual wires failing at the same time all at once is remote, but possible...but it does give me a place to start...if i can pinout the comp plug, i can test all the connectors at once, and work backwards if i show a break, but i`m thinking a cold solder joint in the puter, or a flaky ground input to the puter...i tested for a ground reference yesterday with no luck...thanx a ton for the reply too...

Agreed, I don’t have a lot of hope it’s the connector, but those pins are all right next to each other and was a commonality that couldn’t be ignored.

hey man, i really appreciate you helpin a newb...some sites are too snobby and you get alot of dicky responses for a guy with a small number of posts...the pdf`s you dropped were exactly what i needed...i pinned out the harness and came to the conclusion that the comp is in fact bad, so i`m getting the comp ordered tomorrow...i found a place online that sends the comp pre-flashed, so no trip to the dealer for the flash on the prom...hopefully i`ll get this thing up and running for the guy in short order...i usually frequent the camaros.net site, cuz i do alot of hotrods...mostly chevy stuff...in addition, i`m a full service tech on the side so to speak...(i`ve got sidework coming outta my ears...lmao)i think i`ll be frequenting this site alot too...a lot of knowledge here...its the resource material that kills me...no alldata anymore...anyway, again thanx a ton screwy...i hope i can return the favor someday...
