I will never try to write ever again.I didn't know the world was cruel..thanks for what you said ,I was feeding a little low after all the sh-p people were writing.. thanks again Tom
I too have found the HAMB to be a bit rough. To me there is no sense in being that mean to people
This is by far the friendliest place to hang around
Las weekend I made a trip across town to a swap meet with Ross and I'm still kicking myself in the rear. I missed a prime opportunity to take a really cool picture of Ross's truck in my rearview mirror as we drove down the street.....maybe later this summer as I'm sure we will probably find other places to cruise to
Since Bobby brought it up, the swap meet was super! (except I got a bad sunburn) Got to meet Bobby's father, too. Lots of flathead stuff, lots of cool cars/trucks for sale (outrageopusly priced for the most part). There was a severely chopped/lowered '47 IH like Havi's trucks in the parking lot with a "real" pistol-grip shifter. We forgot water, cameras, and parts wagons, but had a great time anyway.
I lurk the hamb, but know better than to type anything in there. I've learned from unfortunate experiences probably not unlike 48forcoe's, to do such a thing.
The HAMB is a great source of good information, many knowledgeable folk go there to help others. With almost 49 thousand members now, most of whom do not own a traditional hot rod, you are bound to find many unkind "tough guys" who are not worth reading.
The world can be cruel but happily here on this forum we have members who share respect and understanding. I revel in the fact that we have guys like you who try things, who are willing to share and are on the board with us. Hang in there.
