Help with idiot light.

My "door ajar" light on my dash is always on. And yes, the doors are all closed. Also when I look the doors, while driving, the drivers door automatically unlocks.

I was thinking maybe the drivers door switch is bad. What do you all think?

Try spraying all the latch assemblies with WD-40. Its a common problem and WD-40 in the latches is usually what solves everyone's problems. Thats for the door ajar light anyway... No clue on the unlocking door.

Yup, sounds like the door switch. If you fix the light problem the other problem will go away too. The auto-unlock is something they put on so if your keys are in the truck when you try to lock the doors the drivers door will automatically unlock to help prevent locking your keeys in the truck. However, if you have the keypad on the outside of the door, I normally use that to lock it while the truck is running.

Basically, do the WD-40 fix in probably all the doors while your at it. It doesn't really need to be the drivers door that has the problem, it will always auto unlock that door anyways... WD-40 does work well as I had a problem with my light flashing every so often...

That worked, all is good. It was the sticky switch that caused the door not to lock.
