Using the Kandy Basecoat instead of the pearl in an intercoat clear will give you flames that have a bit more kick, and more depth. If you're looking for more subtle, use the pearl in the intercoat clear.
subtle is just the ticket I have some material coming tomorrow for the hood, I intend to put two stripes down the side of the truck, in the concave section about one inch thick with 351W just under the cowl. I Hope to have that part of the paint finished by the week end. JNT
Yes it was a very tedious job, I know that the next time I do any thing like this I will have the paper, I forget the proper name but it has adhesive on it and it would do the hood in three or four sheets and then draw the flames and use the old exacto knife. I managed to get the hood completed, it stopped raining so the clear coat is done now. JNT
Hello folks I have got the outer body finished and am now into the badges and side marker lites. The interior had to be re shot because I did not seal it up well enough so the paint on the inside only needs c/c yet tonight.
Going with Ghost Flames on my wifes Black 97 Screw 4x4. Have a friend here whos Dad has a custom paint shop. Was told he will do it for $300.00. Cant pass that deal up. Seen his work and its first class.
well thank you all for the flowers, I am having a hard time getting every thing finished up, lots of little details, that seem to take forever. and I only get a few hours a day to work on it, tomorrow I have to go to the VA, Shreveport for more test on the old ticker. so I will lose even more time. But if I keep at it it might make truck of the week! no I don't think its close to that. Broke the back glass and have to pull one out of a stand by I have, you know it just keeps on coming. JNT
