Broken Shift collar
Hello,
Truck info, 1974 F-250 Highboy 4x4, Auto. The column shift is broken, won't lock into place or shift into any gears. Took the steering wheel off, discovered the shift collar's center assembly(slides over the tube inside the column) was actually coming apart. Problem is when I took the shift collar off the tube came out with it. Not sure how to put it back together. Would it be better just to remove the column and get one from a junkyard or something? Or if anyone has experience putting it back together I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks,
