intake and carb

I want to replace my carter. i found and intake manifold that I like, Offy C series, but every where I look it doesnt tell me what carburetor will fit on it. Does it only fit a 4bbl, if so will a 4-2bbl adapter work, is there such a thing?>

4 barrel spread bore and square bore are standard sizes across the board. There's no such thing as Chevy 4 barrel or a Ford 4 barrel. If you buy a Holley or Edelbrock it's guaranteed to work on Ford or Chevy, etc. The only exception is Chevy quadrajets, but there are adapters for those - that wasn't your question though.

The Offy C series will accept any square bore 4-barrel carburetor. If you want to run a 2-barrel, you can install an adapter. Those are plentiful. However, there are different 2-barrel flanges. The Ford and Holley 2-barrels all use the same 2-barrel flange; I assume that is what you are wanting to use. If so, check out the link below. It is an adapter that can put a Holley 2-barrel carb on a square bore 4-barrel intake. This particular one is a little pricey but I'm just using it as an example.

There is info on Offy manifold/carb applications...Plus you have a lot of reading to do just on this Forum and fordsixperformance.com since this has been covered many times.
