Cam suggestions

I'm putting a new cam in my 79 this spring (when it gets warm enough to work outside without gloves). My local speed shop recommended a Crane Energizer cam. I will also be replacing the valve springs, putting in a double roller timing chain, and maybe switching to later model heads. Is this cam a wise choice for my truck or should I look for something more aggressive? My truck is a daily driver, but will see the dragstrip a few weekends this summer. I do not use it for towing or hauling. It has a C6 tranny and 2.75 gears which will be replaced with 3.42 gears in early summer.

Comp cams has a complete cam kit that includes the cam, lifters, springs, retainers, locks, valve seals, and 3 piece timing set. Comp has a cam that is comparable to the Crane cam you spoke of.
The Comp catalog says its good for daily driven

I decided not to go for the Energizer cam when I found out it uses the 302 firing order instead of the 351 firing order. So now I have to find a different one. I got a price for a Crane Powermax and also a Comp cam but the Comp was pretty pricy, more than the Powermax. Sigh. Decisions, decisions, decisions....

I have a couple of used cams for a 351, one is an Edelbrock RPM with, I was told, about 10k on it, the other is out of a boat motor. The boat motor cam has 15 hours run time. Both have the lifters with them. Going roller, don't need these cams. I have the lifters to go with these, don't appear to have any wear. If interested, let me know. rdkearney(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
