Welcome to Mexifornia.
That teacher, who allowed the American flag to be replaced by the Mexican flag,
should be reprimanded and the students who were absent,
kept back from graduating by the same amount of days they were absent.

Don't I wish...as a teacher I feel like a hypocrit being there. Unfortunatley I've cost myself a lot of grief by telling it like it is and recieving dicipline myself...I'm not P.C. enough for our liberal education system.

talking about being "pc".

at college they had some lame "culture day" event where they wanted to celebrate diversity (don't you all love that word) at our college.

so, they went around looking for people from other countries to be in some sort of little parade through campus holding the flag of their country.

all good, right? nope, they were soliciting people with any ancestors from any country, talking those who might be able to claim some sort of country. so in the end, they had actually 3 people from another country and about 20 others that were american parading around.

then the newspaper article wrote it up like there was people attendeding our college from 23 countries, representing the great diversity we as the community love. such crap.

and heck no, my wife (for those that don't know is not american) did not parade with a flag. she flat out told them she is not here "representing" her country, she is here as a permenent resident. her indian friend said the same as well along with a nepal guy.

Kind of like Paddy's Day isn't really celebrated much in Ireland, here, it's definitely celebrated.
Yeah, but who hasn't bet the French?

Most of my Mexican Student don't get it.... They all state it is only an American thing. One stated, it would be like Mexico celebrating the battle of Saratoga.
