There is going to be a truck pull this weekend not to far from me. I want to pull my truck but have a few ques. I have an automatic so what range should I use? 4 high or low? What gear D 2 or 1? and is there any thing I should worry about breaking as long as I let off if the truck starts to bounce? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance
What i've always read was 4 lo, 2nd or 3rd gear. Ford built these things really tough, but pulls are hard. someone else is gonna have to help you with that part.
Not shure about an automatic, but im told low range either 2nd or 3rd for a manual. Let us know how it goes. They say hook as high as you can on your truck is better for pulling (more traction) lower is safer (less traction less likely to break). I want to pull mine also but i got some issues i wanna get straightened out first. Where is the pull your speaking of we are having one here this weekend as well (Rumble at the Crossroads), if its the same one I'll see you there.
