No spark!
[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 26-Aug-01 AT 10:28 AM (EST)[/font][p]I have a 1997 F-350 4x4 with a 351 engine and EEC IV eletronic ignition. I have no spark at the coil's high tension lead. I have 12v. going into the primary side of the coil and 12v. coming out of the negative side of the coil. I looked up in a Chilton's manual the troubleshooting procedures for the coil, (by the way I checked the coil against a friends truck and we got spark) PIP (Profile Ign. Pickup) and the ICM (Ignition Control Module). The Manual says to change the PIP or the ICM if you don't get a flashing signal from a twelve volt test light (when you put it into the negative side of the coil with the ignition key to the "run" position and cranking the engine) to ground. I changed both components without any luck. Has anyone had similar problems? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
