BUT!
Our Ambulance Fleet is being replaced...All of our Fords are being hauled away and replaced with these new Chevy's. Some of you that I have talked with other that through post know I work at a Ambulance Provider on a midnight shift. wooo! Well anyway.. I didnt sleep as much as I should have yesterday So this is probally just me being stupid. Well when I came to work I parked on the corner of the building due to the back parking lot is not the best place nor the roomiest to attempt to turn a F150 around and/or get backed out of a parking spot without making 1000000 point turns. So.. Anyway we caught a call around 3:30am this morning and went to do our thing. Pulling back in I looked over at my truck and it almost looked pissed at me because I was driving a Chevy. I just look over and was like "sorry".. My Partner was like "what in hell?" LOL ok that was my stupidity for tonight.. I just decided to post something about it.
Gotta Love die hard Ford Guys..
I would have to agree....im a mechanic at a Dodge dealership and i still drive my ford! Funny thing is i actually talked an employee here to trade his ram in and get a fusion...its no truck but sience im Blue Oval or Die i did my part.
It's OK Bama... I get you. We name our vehicles in my family. My truck is "Bud". My wife just got a Pontiac Vibe and she was hemmin and hawin about naming it so I picked out "Budina" - pronounced Bud-EE-Na - to give it a real southern twang kind of name (me being an under-achieving hilly-billy boy and all). My wife is a die-hard yankee, born and raised in Connecticut, LL Bean through and through, and no matter how long I have had her in the south I can't get it out of her.
Anyway, when the kids are running out to be taken somewhere they yell, "Which one, Bud or Budina?" They don't even refer to them by "car" or "truck" anymore. Every time my wife hears it she yells at them to stop calling her "cute little car" that horrible name - but it has stuck. She'll be a little faster naming her next vehicle.
If you spend enough time around your stuff, it is just natural to want to humanize it! Look at what we've done to these stupid smiley faces.

I was acctually Born in Virginia.. Raised in Alabama. But I know the feeling about naming your vehicles. My Mom nick named my truck Ghost Rider for some reason. I came home one night and it was covered in mud from where we had been out playing in the woods. Then she came up with that. The Yankee thing... LOL you probally wont ever get the Yankee part out of her. Good Luck trying though

I acctually went and was a signature away from trading my truck in on a fusion not to far back.. But I asked the salesman to let me think about it. I decided that I couldnt get ride of my truck.. Gas or No gas LOL
