I have emailed this guy at least times requesting pictures of the "so-called" Brand New FE Rocker Assemblies he is auctioning ... However, he refuses to answer my inquiries or post any pictures, even though he has plenty of pictures on ALL of his other listings ... Has anyone on here ever dealt with this Clown ? ... I would probably buy them IF he just supplied the pictures as requested ...
I think I would just check with your local Napa, Rock Auto, Or Auto Zone for a set...and see what kind of prices they have...I bought a set a few years back from Napa and if I recall correct they were $129 for the set... JMO
Summit has Crane ductile iron adj rocker with lock nuts on the adjusters for $269 per set of 16. I've run them for years and they are the same as the older Isky kind. Or rollers as suggested. Also look into spacers to replace those springs. If you HAVE to run the springs you can double them up by intertwining them for better resistance. Old trick I used to do before the spacers came into play. If your looking to use some of those old adj rockers you already have. Check that the adjusters have a 7 ft lb breakaway torque value or they can loosen and come out of adjustment. Oversize replacment adjusters are a pia. I've only found .003 oversize ones which are tight for a slightly loose adjuster. Another thing you can do with the stock adj rockers you have is just order the Crane adjusters and lock nuts themselves. Like $65 for the set. You need to retap the rocker arms to size and clearance a bit with a dremel for the locks nuts. Easy and a fairly cheap solution.
The Crane parts are brand new, sell at a reasonable price, include the locking nut type adjusters - - just what you want. I have put them on customer engines without any drama, and prefer them to stockers by a mile...
FWIW the guy put them back up @$199 with a pic. Shafts look like the new HD one's with snap rings on the ends. Those alone sell for $140 pr. Could be a good deal if everything is new as described.
