on a 99-04 SD will a 1 inch spacer/adapter (bolts to truck then wheel bolts to it) clear the wheels w/o cutting the end of the studs shorter?
i was told by a person selling them i wouldnt have to cut the studs but i dont see how they would clear the wheel if spacer is only 1 inch as the studs look to be longer than an inch in the first place?
what i was wanting to do was space my wheels out an inch so i could use 05-08 caps that are to short to clear the 99-04 rear axle hubs (by an inch)
How did the spacers work out? I have a nice set of 17" wheels and tires for my F350 that I seldom use because the tread interferes with the leaf springs on hard turning. What brand and size did you choose? Does it effect handling (safety)?
Thanks
Spacers are a terrible idea on trucks, ESPECIALLY on heavy Super Duties. For the safety of you and your family.. please dont run them. Get appropriately backspaced rims.

But ironically.... don't DRW 350s run front spacers?
yes dually trucks do run spacers, spacers are totally fine if they are made properly, they need to be hubcentric to be run on our trucks safely. I will be getting spacers for my truck, but they will be 3" or so and made out of steel, definitely stay away from aluminum is the general consensus but our wheels are aluminum so I can't even see them being all that bad. Always always do at least one re-torque and probably more on spacers, maybe 2 or 3 just to make sure all is well.
