>Trucks with either a manual trans or an auto trans w/ manual transfer case did not get cup holders on the dash...which really sucks if you have and extended cab as there are none in the rear. Well That is all changed now baby!!<O

>I can confirm that when you buy the lower dash panel made for trucks with an automatic transmission and auto locking hubs/auto transfer case it comes with the cupholder components in it and ready to go..it also comes with the cigarrette/ ash tray (I do not smoke, I use them as a place to put change usually) all for $133.21 w/ tax. I do not anticipate the install taking very long..I really thought it would cost more or not come with all the correct parts...
The hardest part was making sure the parts guy didn't order the dash for trucks with the manual transfercase/manual hubs. He kept saying "but you have the manual transfer case" and I kept saying "I know, I would like the lower dash for the automatic."

>OK …I have received the part and installed and it is sweet!! This took me about 45 mins to do because I did not want to break anything along the way or pull any wiring the wrong way from removing the panel around the radio.

>Note the area cut out in the dash by Ford for the transfer case gear shift. This is what my truck came with. No cup holder!

>Here is the back of both panels. I see that the panel w/o cup holders has an extra support clip on the back of it. That is interesting because it is not carrying any weight or at least less than the cup holder version does. This could be good for those who do not want the cup holder and instead want flat area to mount whatever it is you want to mount.

The panel under the steering wheel has to come off to get to one of the screws on the target panel. The panel under the steering wheel just snaps off. Start working one end off by pulling and just keep working up or down till it all pops off.

Just remove the screws that hold the lower panel on and pull…..refer to your new panel to make sure you are getting all the screws before you start pulling.

Once off…Install is same in reverse.

There is not much clearance for the shifter after this is done but there is enough for it to function. I test drove mine and it worked.
