Automatic Transmission Leak
I knew when I bought it that the transmission had BAD leak. Pulled it out and checked front seal. Nothing obvious for a leak sooo bad. Put new seals and steal rings on pump and replaced the front friction plates since I was right there anyway. I put it back in and leak is just as bad as before.
At idle in park or drive it may drip one drop every five minutes. When driven 1/2 mile or so and stop to look and a basketball sized spot immediately forms on the ground, then back to one drip in 5 minutes. What can leak so bad without some sign when looking at it out of the truck? Could it be a crack in the torque converter? Anybody seen this before?

Does sound like a crack. When you shut it off it drains the fluid and then it does the slow drip as the remaining oil slowly works it way down. Punched a hole through the front pumpkin on my old 4X4 Ranger and drove it 5 miles without losing the fluid. As soon as I stopped and shut it off, all the oil drained out.
