C8BA cyl heads..........
Hi again, tore down my engine today and found a few interesting things. I have a M100, body, frame all match up. Now pulled the heads and intake off and found some numbers. FR3019 on the block under intake also thier was a Z punched kinda over the last number. I also found that this has a 4 inch stroke. The cyl heads are 8BA and on the block on the back, it read C8BA. I've been looking all over the internet trying to figure all this out and I'm totally lost.
I thought a 4 inch stroke meant it was a 255. HELP!

I forgotten most of it, hopefully someone will chime in soon, but here's what I think is correct.
8BA are 1949/53 239 heads.
The C of C8BA on the block denotes a Canadian 239 engine.
FR3019 should be FR6019.

Count yourself lucky! You have a "high compression" stroked Ford engine! By putting a Merc 4" crank in a 239 Ford, it makes your engine a 255, and raises the compression when retaining the Ford heads. Merc pistons are used with this combo.
