Hi again, tore down my engine today and found a few interesting things. I have a M100, body, frame all match up. Now pulled the heads and intake off and found some numbers. FR3019 on the block under intake also thier was a Z punched kinda over the last number. I also found that this has a 4 inch stroke. The cyl heads are 8BA and on the block on the back, it read C8BA. I've been looking all over the internet trying to figure all this out and I'm totally lost. I thought a 4 inch stroke meant it was a 255. HELP! Man I have alot to learn, thanks..........................................:c onfused:
Count yourself lucky! You have a "high compression" stroked Ford engine! By putting a Merc 4" crank in a 239 Ford, it makes your engine a 255, and raises the compression when retaining the Ford heads. Merc pistons are used with this combo.
