I have a 2004 Expedition with 4 bag suspension. When I turn off the ignition the front end drops down. It leaks out of the pump not the bags the rear stays inflated. The question comes from I'm wearing out my tires on the outsides. Have had it alinged twice and tires are properly inflated, easy am easy on the turns and rotated every 5000 miles.
Does the height of the vehicle change the geometry of the front tires? Does it matter if it is alinged with the vehicle in the fully inflated position or deflated position? Tires are to expensive bo buy because the outsides get worn out.
Yes, height does affect your camber angles. There are different alignment specs for LLS and non-LLS Expy's, so make sure your alignment shop knows that you have LLS and that they need to use the right specs. Also, don't quote me on this because it's been a while since I checked, but I think the procedure is to drive the vehicle until it pumps up to proper height, then turn the LLS system off with the breaker, then do the alignment. That way the suspension doesn't drop while they're trying to align it.
