engine light
Any 7.3 dieselers have this problem? When engine light illuminates, i have no accelorator function, truck will idle, but thats it. Just had cam sensor replaced with new and improved one, so that not it. Hard to pull into traffic at idle. LOL Any ideas, im all ears. thx

Think you might have that backward? As in, accelerator gives bad signal, and then CEL comes on? My first guess would be a bad accelerator assembly.
I'm not a 7.3 guy, but on the 6.0 trucks the accelerator reo's are redundant and if they don't give the expected signal the PCM will know and spit it back at you.

Hi Bill
The engine light comes on before i step on the accelerator, mostly at a stop light while idling, when i accelerate, the engine remains at idle, the light will go off after 15 seconds and everything is ok.

That still kind of sounds like the go pedal assy. But I'm not a technician and am just guessing. Sorry.
