I have a 65 f100 that I mounted on a 76 f100 frame with a 302 3 speed and floor mounted hurst shifter.I want to convert to a c6.I have found an 82 c6 on a 351w, will it work? Do I need a new drive shaft and will the existing rear end work? My 302 is out of a 76 granada. Will the flex plate and torque converter off the 351w work?, also will the cross member from the 3 speed work to mount the c6?

you can have driveshaft made or cut to fit. you will need the flexplate from the 76 to avoid a balance problem

do I need the flex plate off of "the" 76? Is this because of internal and external balancing? My motor is internally balanced so is there size problem? Your answer was very vague. I am new to this info site and this is my first ford. I have 20 years of horsepower knowledge that isn't ford but so far I'm having fun.

You will need a flexplate from a pre '81 302. The balance was changed around that time. Other then that, it should all fit. I'm not sure about the drive shaft though. I don't know if the yoke will fit between the two trans.
