I am getting a buck and surge under load at higher rpms-pretty bad, really. I replaced the fuel filter to no avail. The fuel pressure begins to drop under load at higher rpms to 8-12lbs and this is when the surging and bucking occurs. Is this probably the fuel pump? Thanks in advance!
Btw, I have an Edge programmer and this does this both in tow mode and stock.
I've owned two of the new body style F-150's. My first was a new '04 Lariat. My current is a '05 Lariat SCrew. The '04 , one month after warranty ended, started having a rough idle one day and the next day would not crank. Ford thankfully paid for a new fuel pump!
I purchased a Certified '05 a few months ago with only 25,000 miles. Three weeks ago I had a rough idle and the next day the truck would not crank. Fuel pump again! Neither truck had any tunes or intakes and always had name brand 87 octane(BP/Amoco, Shell).
I have an Edge tuner in the box and a K&N intake in the box. Can not blame problem on aftermarket parts.
