Is that a Ford piston? If so, one can prolly be located, what years were the pistons used?
They may not make it, but that doesn't mean some dealer doesn't have one.
Thanks Bill,
but no,,,it's not a Ford part!
The short block came from DSS,,http://www.dssracing.com/
We already talked to them,,and they don't have any of that piston left on there shelve.
I'm hoping they can take the 18cc piston and put it on there cnc machine and make it a 21cc piston. But haven't heard back from my guy on that yet.
Phil, to quote my fellow FTE'ers before me, that sucks! Man, that valve did a number on that piston! I hope he can get this fixed up quick for you. Man shouldn't have to go this long without his truck. Especially that truck!
Hey George,
I was just getting ready to update this thread...lol
It's been 2 months since I started this thread and Iv had zero progress so far!
We were going to send the short-block to a guy in Virginia beach but it took soooo long for Matt to get the other motor the guy did for him done that he told the guy to forget about doing mine.
So that was a wasted 6 weeks!!
The short block is in my car trunk as I type this and I'm taking it up to Johnny Lightning's shop this morning to have it rebuilt.
Hes about an hour from my house in PA. I hope to have the motor back in a couple weeks.
So,,,( maybe ) I'll have a truck by the end of August! MAYBE!!!
Hope ya all have a good day and I'll update when I have new info.

Phil I am sure that you have already heard this from the Lightning boards.. Johnny builds some good motors. Good luck with this and get that beast back on the road.
Phil I wanted to say JLP for a long time, but i did not want to be rude to you and your builder. JLP will not treat you wrong and you will have one built motor when you get it back.
