I changed my hood for a rust and dent free one from another truck but I am having serious troubles aligning the hood. The back of the hood for the center outwards is seriously high in comparison to the cowl. I will put pictures in the gallery and let you see for yourself. How do you go about adjusting this. A newb in need of help. Thanks a bunch.
Have you compared it to your old hood to see if they are identical? I mean if either one is messed up or broken anywhere around the mounting equipment? See if anything was bent on one or the other.
if the last pic is its current alignment, thats pretty good actually...if when you close it its high and have to push down on it then you got a bad hinge most likely. the hood hinge is one of the less grand designs IMO as far as longevity goes...
It looks as if the entire back of the hood is high. If thats the case try to drop the springs on the firewall a bit. I agree with Camperspecial65 - the springs aren't the greatest. If its up in the middle of the cowl but not the sides of the cowl, your hood is warped an my guess would be you'd need to figure a way to bend it out.
