I would not wait my next oil change knewing that a fuel tank bracket was just hanging there to fix it.
I went last week for the fuel tank recall. It took them 2 days to get the parts. The service manager told me that it was "to stabilize, secure the tank in case of an accident" (??)

Had my recall today- I took it in 2 weeks ago and they said they needed to get the parts for the seat, though they came in pretty quickly. Mine is a 4X4 250 crew SB (job 1) and they also did some fuel tank strap recall but not sure what they did as I have a Titan 52 gallon aftermarket tank on it! Think I'll call them tomorrow to see what they did as it didn't look any different when I looked under it and the Titan tank tank uses it own straps! They also replaced a rear backup light that was burned out- didn't even know that!
