Adjustable Tonneau?

Does anyone know of a tonneau cover that can be set up for the bed with and without a tool box.? I've looked around and have found plenty of covers for the full bed and very few for a bed with a tool box. I have a crossover tool box but have not installed it yet and am not 100% sure I want to. I'd like it for carrying things like fluids and recovery gear but like having bed space too. I'd like to get one cover that I can use both with and without the tool box in place. The only alternative is to get two covers...

Of all the brands that I have available, you would be looking at 2 different ones. It would be impossible for a cover to gain 18-20" in length if you removed your toolbox.

What about a roll-up/roll-out version? Couldn't then the "reel" be secured at either the cab or behind the tool box?

I dont have any personal experience with them, it's just a thought.

On a roll-up, there is no reel. The fabric is pre-cut for having a toolbox or not. Once the cover is in the closed position, there isn't any "extra" fabric where you could have the cover be a little longer.

I'm sorry Wade. I was thinking about one of those "Roll & Lock" types {http://www.rollnlock.com/}

I think they are made from aluminum and retract into square or rectangular box mounted at the front of the bed.

Not a problem. I had to catch myself on that also. Kept forgetting about his toolbox.

Well, I decided to just go ahead and mount the toolbox and get a tonneau to fit that set up. I'm going with the Extang RT cover and a tailgate seal. I think I'll see about making some of those "pocket" gear holders that go between the wheel well and the tailgate out of some sheet steel. I could buy them but $70 seems kind of steep for some bent sheetmetal with a few holes drilled in it....
