When I start to brake my 7.3 PSD Ex, the rpm will drop. I can be cruising at 70 on the freeway, and if I put my foot on the pedal just enough to slightly depress, but not enough pressure to try to stop seriously, the revs go down from 2100 quickly. I take my foot off the brake, and the revs are back! It's almost like it goes into neutral or something.
I've looked around a little, and haven't found any mention of this occuring. Anyone know anything about this? Happening to anyone else?

That's probably the effect of the torque converter unlocking when you brake, and locking back up when you take your foot off the brake, and the driveline spinning it up to its cruising speed.

So, normal then? I wasn't sure, and like I said, I haven't seen anyone else ask. I didn't know that the brake pedal unlocks the T/C.
My favorite part of my DP tuner is that it changed how this works (even on the stock setting). It is so lame to be going down a hill, engine braking, and then tap the brake to slow down a bit more, and have the torque converter unlock.
With the DP tuner, it doesn't unlock the torque converter until you are under a certain speed...
