i hv a 2005 F150 FX4 5.4l with only 40,000 miles on it and i treat this truck better than most guys treat their wives. no off roading and not very much hotrodding my tranny has never made any strange noises slipped or anything but out of the blue under regular driving conditions od light started blinking message center said trans fault now it slips horribly almost to where it wont move in D,3rd,and 2cnd gears it wont do anything in first but drives fine in reverse. fluid is very clean but has slight burnt rubber smell and is fuller than it shoul be. any ideas on why this would happen for no apparent reason and waht it might be?
