Thanks to Dave S, I continued to pursue my air leak into the low pressure fuel lines. I was considering an electric lift pump, but temporarily put in a clear line out of fuel filter to the front passenger side injector. A large bubble former on top of the line after only a few hours, but not from the injector drains. It seemed to come from the filter itself. I had swapped motors, so I swapped back my old rigid line from the fuel pump to fitler as well as the filter mounting block.(cast item) All of the fittings on the old block was carried over. I found the rubber/plastic/nylon 'O" RING on the rigid line to fuel filter was slightly beat up. It now starts after 24 hour wait.
Good job of trouble shooting and using advice!
Sure helps to have extra parts lying around too, now if we could just convince our wives and nieghbors of that.
Those line seals are availble at most diesel shops........... visit
Ford diesel 6.9 7.3 IDI on the parts info they are listed .. you would need 1....... 3/8"ID for pump to filter line and 2........5/16"ID for Filter to IP line. They look just like a sliced of piece of rubber hose.............
