Does anyone no were I can find out some what (ball park) horsepower I have and torque. in my 89 302 efi punched .30/ performance voodoo cam set (idle-5500 rpm's) and forged crank. Or if anyone might no. That would be really cool.
Might ask Conanski..He will probably show up soon..And he is way good on the small motors knowledge. Plus I know a few others in here have the desktop dynos...
According to my Chilton's manual, the 89 302 was rated at 185 hp @ 3800rpm and 270 ftlbs @ 2400. Just a cam, .030 overbore and nothing else, I would guess 15 to 20 more hp.
With what you have done I would guess around 225 being generous if its low mileage, timing is dead on, and everything is working in the most ideal conidtion (injectors, sensors, etc...)
injectors are all brand new, timing is dead nuts!!!! And the whole block was rebuilt (finished it yesterday) also has electric fan. the cam specs are Duration 270/280, Lift .448/.472
Have you do anything to your intake? A K&N filter or better yet an aftermarket intake would allow your engine to breathe better. With the electric fan removing the drag created by the engine driven fan Id give ya a few hp gain or so.
Million mile warranty on the filter too, can't go wrong with that.
If money isn't an issue BBK makes a throttle body in both 56mm and 61mm sizes and Edelbrock has a Performer EFI intake for the Ford Truck EFI. However, the 5.0L has been discontinued and only the 5.8L remains.
If you wanted to go to the extreme you could do a MAS conversion and look at Stang intakes such as a GT-40.
But that is very expensive and time consuming to carry out.
What heads are you using? If they're stock that's your next step, but beware that's when it gets expensive because you need a MAF conversion and larger injectors.
