First long trip with the SD
Just got back from my trip to Moab from Washington state with my 04 psd 4x, towing 30' toy hauler with the bronco inside, little heavier than I thought, about 22500lb gr. Truck did great xcept a cracked wheel in Twin Falls Id. It was a little slow up some of the hills but I wasn't horseing on it either. I just got it back from Ford about 2 weeks ago they replaced the egr, heads, and arp studs so I put the edge back on, I was just going to use it for the gauges but I tried it set on tow for a couple tanks and noticed better mpg. Thinking about the sct, and dont no if I should get the custom tunes or if the ones that come with it are fine or if I should leave well enough alone, I just want a good running/working truck.

You really can't beat custom tunes, especially since they can be tuned to how you drive and how you drive while towing. I would strongly suggest custom tunes and do away with the edge or just use it for gauges. Edge doesn't have the best reputation for the most part, in some cases people have had luck with them, but I believe the majority have not.
