Thanks again! I like those wheels you've got xtrford, I've never seen them before on anything else. Were they on the truck stock or did you put them on?
A question for you superdutymj, is there a lot of road noise with those Nittos? I'm going to be needing tires by the end of summer and am trying to decide if I want the dueler revo or something similar.
There isn't any more road noise with these than the stock A/Ts to be sure skilife17. They are very relatively quiet. Granted, they're no touring tire, but they are much more quite than other a/ts I've had. I'd put these up against Duelers any day, and since I got the 10 plys I'm getting just as good a wear as Duelers. Like xtr said they don't clean out real well with snow, but they'll give you excellent traction in mud and dirt! Also, the Nittos are 30-40 dollars a piece cheaper than Duelers. I've run Nittos on my trucks now for the past 5 years, and I don't foresee changing my ways in the near future, though I would like to try out Nitto's new Dune Grappler on one of my toys!
Thanks superdutymj, i'll have to look at them when i'm out tire shopping. So all in all for a 10ply how's the ride? I'm thinking of doing the same as i use my truck as a truck.
same here skilife17! I have a 20' flatbed car hauler and I'll pull whatever fits on that damn trailer! My derby car for this year is a '75 Caddy Deville, which weighs approx. 300 lbs less than my truck, but then you gotta add the 1800lb trailer! My truck didn't like that much so I found me a '80 F350 dually to pull the trailer and semi-retire my '98 F150 from pulling duty. The 10 plys ride like you'd expect 10 plys to ride, about like a F250 superduty. I don't mind them though, the max. psi in them is 65lbs, and I run them at about 55lbs, so that adds a little more pliable ride. But all in all, you're not going to find a more pliable tire than can handle as much load and gets better wear for the relatively low price tag as that of the Nitto Terra Grappler E rated tires. I paid $176 a tire mounted and road-forced balanced. The duelers were about $220 per tire.
