Growing Electrical Problem
My 66 F100 has an odd electrical problem I'm trying to diagnose. It started with the brake lights not working at all.
I UTFSE to finally figure out that my brake light switch is NOT under the dash so I replaced it.
Now, I get only my passenger side brake light to come on. Replaced both bulbs and swapped spots to confirm they are both good. Both tail lights and both rear turn signals work fine.
Over the course of a couple of day tinkering and following wires (what a mess!), somewhere along the way my driver side FRONT turn signal stopped working! Again, tested both bulbs and found no problems - driver side turn signal works and both running lights work.
I did FORGET to check the bulb for the hood mounted reverse facing turn signal indicator bulb so slap me if that's it.
What am I missing here?
Thanks in advance.
Both driver and passenger rear turn signals work.
Passenger side brake light works.
Driver side brake light does NOT work.
Both driver and passenger front running lights work.
Driver front turn signal and hood mounted signal indicator work.
Passenger front turn signal and hood mounted signal indicator do NOT work.
That might be easier to read than my scatter-brained thread start!

Looks like the next step is the turn signal switch - thanks for the direction Paul.
There seem to be several different brands of replacement turn signal switches - and of course they don't all look the same! I've had to modify a few in the past when I replaced them in my Buicks, so if anyone has good or bad experiences to save me the hassle with my F100 I'd appreciate it.
