Duramax Question

You guys have helped me out before and I got yet anthoner question. My BIL is stranded on the side of the road with a dead 2001 duramax. Is there anyone that has some experience with these things? I'm probably going to have to go get him and if I need to get parts today will be the day to do it. TIA

This ain't gonna help much, but it would be a lot of fun to go get it with a trailer and take lot's of pictures. But with no explanation of what may be wrong, even a Duramax expert will not be able to help you like this.

I was just thinking maybe there was a common failure item on that engine.

More help, there is a common failure. They blow up.

Yeah, but jetdoc still hasn't left a clue as to what is wrong. Maybe he took my first advice and is on the way with a trailer. Hopefully a camera too.
