Question which gauges you use

Sorry, just a newbie question here. What gauges to you use with your built up engines? What gauges do you consider important to have? Also can you have two seperate fuel meters running for dual tanks? Just curious. Thanks

Well are you asking about replacement gauges? for most engines your stock OEM gauges will do fine. If your wanting after market then I can send you some good links.

Sorry guess I wasn't clear. I'm kinda a newbie when it comes to engines. I was planning on doin' a diamond plate gauge panel to replace the stock one in my truck, which I don't like. And I wanna set in a bunch of aftermarket gauges, I laid it out with a larger speedo and tach to one side, and I've got room for up to 8 2" gauges. I figure somethin like oil pressure, water temp, batt charge, vacuum, fuel level...there's just so many different gauges out there, and I think it'd look neat to fill up all the room, besides being handy in monitoring my engine and such. I'd say primarily I'd be pushin the drivetrain out in the mud. What else would be helpful for me? Something like tranny temp? I dunno

Oh, and sorry, I should mention my plans. I wanna work alongside someone experienced, and build off a 429 block with a goal of around 600 horse NA. Mate this to my NP435 and NP205, and I'm unsure yet what size tires I wanna go with.

Guess it's a weird point to be lookin at which gauges I'm gonna use, I's just curious haha

Sounds like a nice build my man.
Here check this place out that make custom panel replacements
Ford Truck Dash Panels the gauges are nice to and priced reasonable, these are going to be the ones I go with when I get my new wiring harness.

What do you know about the quality of those gauges? They are a good price and would work for a project Im working on.

While I was at Wally world helping out China's Economy.
I stopped by the mags and looked at a classic truck mag and they where using them in a old ford build and they said they were very good gauges..
