Found a great place for Ford F150 questions/TN & MI
I have a 1995 Ford F150 V8 5.0 302 with dual fuel tanks. Over the past month, while driving, on 4 separate occasions the truck just quits.
It's almost like you just turned off the ignition. You can try to start it and it turns over but does not start.
On 3 of the previous occasions it started back within 5 to 10 minutes. But the last time, I backed out of my parking space, put it in drive and pressed the gas pedal and it quit immediatedly. This time it did not restart even after waiting 2 hours.
I had it towed to the Ford dealership and left overnight. I went in the next morning and gave them the key to service the truck.
Amazingly, they called back later and said the truck started just fine and they have been driving it around and they cannot get it to fail.
I have put in a new filter and plugs before the last incidence.
Any ideas?
