Ok so my 1988 F-250 has a 3.55 open dif. Right now my entire set up includes, 33" tires, 302 engine, 5 speed manual tranny. what would be a good all around dif for my truck, and how much would it cost to drop a posi or Limited Slip, instead of my open dif!
I think with your truck, the weight, engine size, and the tire size, it would be a good idea to go with at least 4.10 gearing.
Posi trac is a chevy rear end Limited slip should be a fairly easy swap in. I myself would go check a few of the local junkyards and see what you can find. Take a piece of paper with the axle codes written on them and I bet you will come up with something.
