The Missus and the pup and I will be heading to the Sierra's tomorrow for the trout opener on Sat. Anybody else going? It's an annual ritual for us.

You fortunate canine, you. That's one of my favorite spots in California, the Owens Valley. Years ago I did a lot of work on a house on the s/e corner of Pine and Poplar on the extreme North end of town. Spent many weekends up there.

Yes it is. It's the campground nearest to Glacier Lodge. Big Pine is a nice little town.
We just got home a little while ago. Pulling the TT we got 10.2 going north and 12.2 coming south. That's just a few 10ths better than usual. I added a bed cover since last time, so that might have helped. Or maybe just good conditions.
Fishing was not up to par, just okay. Saw some old friends. Life is good.
