70 gallons

After hanging a 15 gal poly gas tank in an aluminum frame under my '72, I thought I might pull the 55 gal fuel/tool tank out of the bed. But now with the gas prices, I might leave it awhile, money in the bank... BTW, the new tank went in nice, and the filler is in the bed at rear. Put one of those chrome locking gas doors over the hole, and it looks pretty good.

Let's see...70 gal @ 4 bucks each...280 bucks to fill. Geez, gotta take a small loan to fill the darn thing up.

cheaper gas

The gas in these tanks was about 3 bucks a gal. Did use some gas stabilizer in it too. When gas is 4 $, I will start burning it. (Prob soon).

Yeah...but, if you wait until the gas goes back down to $3/gal, and then fill it up (or better yet fill up a 100 gallon home tank) then, when it goes back up to $4/gal, you have a $100 savings! (Thank you John Denver for teaching us to hoarde!)
