Water pump replacement

Has there been a thread on water pump replacement on a 7.3 diesel in a 2000 F350 4x4? I have a slight leak where there looks to be a gasket on the lower part of the water pump where it mates up to the engine block. Just wondering the procedure for doing this work and approximate time involved and if i need any special tools. Thanks for any info. Roy.

No special tools except to get the fan clutch off. I did mine in about 3 hours (in a strange shop spending most of the time looking for the tools I needed). Not a bad job at all just take your time and make sure all surfaces are clean.

Try buying two. One marked HIS and one marked HERS. Hey, it might work. Then if your's crashes you have a backup.
