If that's all you get for $155.00 I don't see the good deal. They don't even have a box channel no latches.............

look i have a 1950 truck too, and i know that the big boxes don't fit. I have over 500.00 in two Hidden Door Hinge Systems. This is the first one i got.
eBay Motors: Suicide Hidden Door Hinge System - w/Latches - Hot Rod (item 280216671919 end time Apr-16-08 12:14:54 PDT)

as you can see its the same one your wanting, I'm just trying to help you out some. If your looking to buy a set for under 155.00 from a store, make sure you know what your getting. Autoloc starts out at 299 to 1423.40 with no bear claws and so on. 155 + 35 for bear claws is a lot better then buying this stuff twice.

by the way all autoloc Hidden Door Hinge Systems are too big, and a lot of stores sell this brand in boxes with their name on them.

So...anarki, are you saying that the first hinge system you purchased, that you provided the eBay link to, is no good? What was the 2nd system you purchased?

the first hinge system i purchased was a nice built kit, but way to big. So i called an autoloc dealer and asked them about a smaller kit. They told me all autoloc hinge systems have the same size box.( Which is way to big for an 48,49,50,51,52 door jam) So i got this set which i just love...eBay Motors: Hidden Door Hinge Kit Williams Heavy Duty Street Rod (item 180166432755 end time May-01-08 12:38:26 PDT)

built real nice and i put up pics of them in my last post.

I'm looking at a truck right now that has suicide doors. If I were to buy the truck, I would want to put them back to the factory configuration.

Does anyone have any experience doing this?

Peace,

That all depends on how the doors and jambs were modified by the person who installed the suicide hinges, I have seen some installations where the original door jambs were completely removed and replaced with flat steel...this would make the "un-mod" a bit more difficult. If your original hinge pockets are still intact then it would be a bit simpler.
