Question performance and mileage

Just looking for some quick info, and I know this forum is loaded with good accurate Ford info.

Would I benifit enough from either split-fire plugs, or ring fire plugs in my little Fords listed below?

Meh, plugs are plugs. My top choices for Ford are Autolight or Mercury plugs. I have autolight double platinums in my Mazda B4000 4.0L V6 Pickup: 21mpg I'm very satisfied.

You'd benefit more from keeping air in the tires, the air filter checked for easy flow, and putting an egg on the gas pedal. The 'mileage in a box or can' products all have a level of flim-flammery to them otherwise you would see their products installed by the factory. Economics dictate they do the best they can to get the best mileage for their product to be able to compete with other products, and split-tail dual-turbo supercharged spark plugs are a salesmans dream, but not much more...

The only thing you will benifit from using splitfire spark plugs is a lighter wallet. Fords run best on motorcraft or autolite. I tried splitfire's twice, both times ended up pulling the junky things back out, tried the 4 prong boush as well, still back with motorcraft. So either I have bad luck with plugs or these new spaceaged spark plugs are not all there cracked up to be.

These multi tip plugs are not speced to the correct heat range, and cause poor combustion. They also increase the compression, which can cause pinging and power loss. The best plugs are Autolite or Motorcraft OEM spec.

I had great success on my old 91 Astro with splitfires, but not on my boat (3.8 Chevy v6 1984) so I think they are hit or miss per application. I think the heat range is the big issue on these Fords. I run Autolite Douple Platinum in the Ranger and could not be happier. I run Motorcraft in my EXPY and have no issues.
