Tps Help!!
Recently I inherited a 92 f150 flareside from my late grandpa. I have always been a chevy man but have loved this truck since he bought it new in late 91 off of the showroom floor. Problem is I have always been a chevy man so all of these ford parts are new to me.
Over the last week the engine has been running rough and dying. I did a code check and it pulled a code for the TPS. The truck is a 5.0 and the TPS as you Ford guys know is located on the underside of the intake. How the heck do you get that thing out? Looks to me like the intake would have to come out. Does it? I sure dont want to pull that beast if I dont need to. It seems like they put this thing in the worst place possible. I noticed that all of the newer 4.6 engines relocated them to the top of the throttle body. Any help would be appreciated.
