Bad Rag Joint??
Well yet another situation with my wonderful new money pit. After all the work I put into the front end I still had sloppy steering so the mechanic & I tightened the adjustment on the steering box. Well all that did was make the steering wheel too tight. He said the rag joint??? was bad. He called the dealer and was told that they no longer make that old style because they all wore out and the new style comes with the shaft attached, you can’t get just the rag joint anymore. The lowest price I got was $135.00. Can anyone do better???

That would be the flexible joint in the steering shaft. It is a common item to go bad and was replaced with a better U-joint. LMC truck carries them if you want to see a picture but I forget what they want for it.
